Close readers of this space will recall that
US Person discussed the impact global warming would have on
the severity of this winter's weather last fall. Late season snow storms have disrupted transportation in the Midwest and Atlantic coast. Winter storm Titan dumped more snow on the mid-Atlantic states Monday closing federal offices in Washington, DC. That storm killed at least 12 people, caused hundreds of accidents on icy roads, and left tens of thousands without power. From December 1st through February, 108,600 airline flights were cancelled nationwide almost double the average of previous winters.
Eighteen states report record cold March temperatures.
