
California once again leads the way to a greener future for America by adopting a program to identify and eliminate toxic chemicals from consumer products and the environment. The bi-partisan bills were signed by the Governator in
"La-La Land" on Monday. The legislation allows the state Department of Toxic Substances Control to ban dangerous chemicals. A public database of chemicals will also be created, allowing consumers to obtain toxicity information about chemicals they use. The program emmulates the one adopted earlier by the European Union.
