Update: Senator Ed Markey of Massachusetts introduced a bill to expand the Supreme Court by four new justices. He told gathered reporters that the nation cannot afford to wait until a radicalized Supreme Court hands down decisions altering the foundations of liberal democracy. He said Congress has constitutionally expanded the court in the past and can do it again.

He told Repugnants in Congress to go ahead and cause a default if Biden does not agree to massive cuts in spending.
A default would cause enormous economic problems and undoubtably crash Wall Street. Nonetheless, he minimized the effect of a default by saying it might only might cause "a bad day or week". Of course the unspoken comment is that Trumpillini would benefit politically from holding the economy hostage. He also said he was inclined to pardon people who stormed the Capitol on his behalf. Moderate Senator Mitt Romney said Trump is, "untethered to the truth and untethered to the constitutional order. " Why then is he allowed to continue his campaign of hate and lies? It is inexplicable, except for the fact that our national government is exceedingly dysfunctional.
