The US Code prohibits anyone from incentivising voter registration. His America PAC intends to give away one million randomly to swing state voters who sign up. A UCLA law professor has said that the scheme is essentially a lottery open only to register voters in swing states, thereby creating an incentive or reward for registration. The scheme is simply another example of gaming the anachronistic Electoral College system. Kamala Harris should own this extremism by pledging to work for the system's replacement by a popular vote for president. Meanwhile™they are burning USPS ballot collection boxes in Maricopa County (D) Arizona where early voting is already taking place. Twenty mail-in ballots were damaged before firefighters extinguished the blaze. One person has been arrested.
