Hotspot: Above the Arctic Circle

Temperatures above 30 have been reported above the Arctic Circle in Nizhnyaya Pesha, an area of Russia about 1,300km north of Moscow.  Siberia has also experienced temperatures 10℃ above normal, part of the world experience of the hottest May on record, 1.3℃ above pre-industrial levels,  The persistent high temperatures have led to the melting of permafrost thought to be a contributing factor to the disastrous fuel oil spill at the end of last month.

The Paris Climate Agreement, which the Antichrist in Office has repudiated, aims to keep global temperatures from rising above 2.0℃ to avoid the  most catastrophic effects of global warming.  That goal is becoming increasing problematic.  The last decade and the previous five years have been the hottest on record.
